ACE, prior to their
display in Tampa, Florida
More genuine artifacts from the often forgotten
world of the Byzantine Empire which endured long after the sack
of Rome and disintegration of the Western Roman Empire in the late
5th century..
The fall of Constantinople to the Ottoman Turks
in May of 1453 was the virtual end of the Byzantine Empire
and thus of the Eastern Roman Empire
